When you look for true Godfather-band for punk rock, I think it’s hard to deny the Ramone’s claim to the title. For people that want to make rules, and exclude pop-punk descendents such as Green day, and Blink-182, they’ll try to give the title to the Sex Pistols, or The Clash, or Iggy and the Stooges, or Black Flag. But c’mon people… Ramones! Anyway, from the Ramones 1989 Brain Drain album, here’s a song that shares its title with a Stephen King book. (This song also has the benefit of proving that there are good songs on those later Ramones albums that only the die-hards buy.) Appropriately spooky? I think so.
