So this post is to let my readers know that I’ve now started a podcast / internet radio show.  It’s with my buddy Phil Jacke, and it’s called Bombast Podcast.  The subject matter is movies, comics and random conversation.  We had a fun time recording it, and we hope you’ll have a fun time listening.

for the Show, we’ve created a Blog –

http://bombastpodcast.wordpress.com/

and there is also a libsyn page you can go directly to to download an episode.  It’s also available for free in the itunes store.  On our first (successfully recorded) episode Phil and I lay out their ideas for what the show will be, mainly, a place to dicuss comics, movies, music, and whatever random folderol they want to talk about.  Topics discussed include Canadians, the DC reboot, Shingles, Nicholas Cage, Crime in Rockford, and more.

To readers of this blog,  I plan to continue posting her, at least for now…  Hope a couple of you check out the radio show, and at least 1 of you enjoys it, haha.
Matt Jeske, signing off.

oh my goodness! i haven’t laughed so hard in a looooong time!
how often do you all plan on broadcasting?
i do HATE that you guys went with wordpress for your blog instead of blogger! ugh! it’s so much more annoying to follow. but i will anyway.
if only that had been a radioactive bat, rockford would be seeing better days, for sure!
and WHAT is with the death to smoochie hate!?!? i ADORE that movie, though i haven’t seen it in years!
this is going to be such a fun thing to listen to when i’m cleaning house! awesome!
and matt!!!! a while back i talked to one of my friends from belvidere high school and was SHOCKED to hear her sound like a grown-up instead of a teenager! this was like a dejavu of that! time passing is soooooo weird! keep up the good work!

Hi Victoria! I’m glad you liked the show! We don’t have a definite schedule for releasing episodes, It’s kind of a when-we-feel-like-it deal, but we’ve talked about doing it biweekly. I should have talked to you before I set up the blog… I considered using blogger instead of wordpress, but I already have one blog with wordpress, I like the stats they give me, and someone told me wordpress is better for putting up audio files… Not sure about that one, though…

    ha! matt! funny guy!
i have no idea about sound stuff on blogger. i once put an anavox song on there, but i just ripped an embed code from somewhere… can’t remember where anymore. that’s my shoddy memory for you!
    ANYWAY!
a blogging pal of mine (another matt :P) put up a post today that i think might be beneficial for you guys as far as blogging goes. it’s about having a google connect widget in your sidebar. this allows followers to be notified through their dashboards (and some other google blog readers i don’t use) when you have a new post. a lot of people i know don’t follow blogs that update in their emails, because they keep prompt track of emails for their publication aspirations and follow many blogs and don’t want the ole inbox cluttered. i know nothing about the kind of traffic you all are getting, but i’d most definitely give you guys a shoutout and linksy if the blog was a bit more user friendly. also, i dont’ know if you are aware of it, but your comment box fluctuates in a weird way when people type in it. i wonder if there is an issue in like the frame you have for it or something… i know nothing about workdpress.
anyway! i ‘m worse about bunny trails that that rchs physics teacher… what was his name? but, i’m going to post the link to matt’s post. if you want to try to add the gollowre widget to your sidebar to make your blog more firiendly to blogger bloggers.
    here we go:

there we go. i couldn’t see the bottom line in the comment box in order to cut and paste it in there. please forgive my typos! i couldn’t read it over. and my fingers (and brain) can be quite clumsy! 🙂 best of luck to you! looking forward to the next podcast!

we are also available in itunes. Do you use itunes as a media player program?

  8. vic caswell September 25, 2011 at 9:08 pm #

yup! although i never do the purchasing/ whatnot. my hubs gets to make all our itunes decisions. eeeks! i tend to pandora much more than itune when it comes to listening to music (here the radio stations only play country, sports, and christian talk- but HEY! we don’t have nearly as many murderers! whoo hoo!)
i’ll have to figure out how to find you guys on itunes… or get my hubby to figure it out… 😛
